Vodka and sake blend launched
A new drink has been launched by Extreme Spirits, with the company claiming to have introduced a new category to the market.
Wokka is described as a blend of vodka and the Japanese drink sake infused with Asian fruit, Talking Retail reports.
Extreme Spirits has introduced the drink in a 200ml bottle, dubbed Mini Wokka, saying it goes particularly well with sushi.
Marketing director Tim Day explained it has been developed for Asian fusion restaurants, adding that the name came about following consumer research both in the UK and the US.
“By declaring the brand as a ‘Fusion Vodka’, we have in fact defined a new category,” he stated.
The drink is currently available in ten countries around the world.
Last week Global Brands introduced Danzka to the market, a Danish chilled vodka which the company claimed is the first to be packaged in an aluminium bottle.
