Senior brand manager Heather Coates says the flavour is also as good as regular milk.

It signals a step towards a healthier lifestyle for milk drinkers who may also need the convenience of a long-life product.

Milk Link, the manufacturer of the moo brand launched in 2004, said it listened to its customers who said they wanted the benefits of semi-skimmed milk but lower fat.
