‘Quick and tasty’ risottos launched
Highgrove Fine Foods has launched a pair of risottos which will only be available to specialist retailers.
Talking Retail reports the products come in clear packaging which has controls to preserve flavour, as well as allowing consumers to view contents.
Cascina Belvedere Risottos are made at a family rice farm near Milan to a traditional Italian recipe.
One variety will be asparagus-based, while the other will contain Porcini mushrooms.
Marketing manager Sally Assinder said of the move: “With increased consumer interest in buying tasty authentic traditional products we felt that the Cascina Belvedere Risottos would deliver just this for consumers, while offering a premium item to retailers that is not available in the multiples.”
The products require the addition of water and a glass of wine and can be prepared in 20 minutes.
Last week Highgrove announced the launch of kits which contained all the ingredients necessary for consumers to make a simple pizza at home.
