Pilgrims Choice gets new packaging

North Downs Dairy has announced the development of new packaging for its Pilgrims Choice cheddar cheeses.

Special reclosable packs, designed to keep the products fresh, will be introduced across the range at the end of next month, according to Talking Retail.

The company decided to implement the designs after conducting research into consumers’ preferences, finding that the convenience of such packs was preferred.

North Downs Dairy managing director Mike Davies said: “We have taken our Pilgrims Choice packaging to the next level with our brand new reclosable stay fresh packs. The new striking, high quality packaging will ensure maximise impact on shelf.”

He added that sales of the range, which includes mild, farmhouse mature and extra mature, are expected to escalate as a result.

The Cheese Gig is planning to offer tutored cheese tasting at the South Somerset Food Festival, which is being held at the end of September.
