Limited edition whiskies from Tomatin

Two new single malt whiskies are to be added to the Tomatin Distillery Company’s range.

The Highlands-based whisky producer will produce just 1,500 bottles of 30-year-old Tomatin Single Highland Malt, while 1,614 bottles of the 40-year-old version will be available worldwide, according to just-drinks.com.

Commenting on the introduction of the new Scotches, marketing and sales manager Stephen Bremner said: “We expect the new bottlings to be extremely popular with whisky enthusiasts in the UK and internationally.”

Already 12, 18 and 25-year-old varieties are available and new branding will be introduced across the range next year, the website reports.

The 30-year-old’s recommended retail price will be £180, while the older whisky will come with a £450 tag.

Snow Grouse – a whisky designed to be served chilled, direct from the freezer – was announced by Tomatin’s fellow Scottish brand The Famous Grouse earlier this week.
