Healthy snacks get the Go Ahead

August 27th, 2008

A new snack range aimed at healthy eaters has been launched by United Biscuits.

Go Ahead Muesli Fingers contain oats, muesli and fruit but no artificial colourings or flavours, Talking Retail reports.

Apple & Sultana and Cranberry & Sultana flavours will be launched by the firm next month and will expand the existing range of healthy snack foods in the Go Ahead portfolio.

Commercial Manager at UBUK Nick Stuart stated that the Go Ahead brand is growing at 22.5 per cent.

“Muesli Fingers are entering the Better For You category at a time when healthy eating is becoming increasingly important to consumers,” he remarked.

The company added that its existing Yoghurt Breaks and Crispy Slices products have proved very popular with consumers.

Yesterday, celebrity chef Paul Da-Costa-Greaves announced the arrival of a new range of his chocolate health food, which he claims can enhance consumers’ moods.
