Cholesterol-free crisps are an ‘innovation’
Food manufacturer World Gourmet Marketing has developed an “innovative” crisp to add to its range of natural snacks.
Dubbed 8 Grain Crisps, the company says the product contains no trans fat and are free from cholesterol.
As the name suggests they contain eight varieties of grain, as well as three types of seed and are made using hot air popped technology.
President of World Gourmet Jason Cohen said they had produced “the most innovative snacks on the market today that consumers value as a healthier option to the fried products that are currently available”, adding: “The taste is exceptional!”
Information on the back of packs will include guidelines on portion control in order to maximise the health benefits of the crisps.
Other snacks launched this summer include the addition of two new flavours to Pringles’ healthy alternative Rice Infusions and Kettle Chips’ new hand-cooked red Thai curry crisps.
