July 15th, 2008

Chewing gum stalwart Trident is expanding its popular product range to include two new offers.

Trident Sweet Kicks launched last week to couple confectionary flavours with more traditional gum tastes. Its first foray in the range is a chocolate mint product, Talking Retail reports.

Meanwhile the company is also adding to its more established mint gums with a Trident Fresh category. New flavours include Oooh Peppermint, Aahh Spearmint and Coool Lemon.

Kate Harding, trade communications manager at Cadbury, says: “We are excited to be launching these fantastic new Trident offers into what we see as a high growth potential UK gum market.”

She adds the products will be marketed through a £10 million multi-media campaign encompassing TV advertising and digital media.r>Established products in Trident’s chewing gum portfolio include the Trident Splash range, mainly marrying fruit flavours like strawberry and lime, Raspberry and Peach, and Apple and Apricot.
