Baileys change bottle design

July 2nd, 2008

A new bottle design is to be launched by Diageo Great Britain (GB) for its popular liqueur brand Baileys.

The bottle shape has been retained but made slightly taller, while new labels have been created, Talking Retail reports.

Bold colours and designs will help the customer pick out the different flavour variants of each bottle, the company stated.

Jeremy Kanter, the Baileys marketing manager for Diageo GB, described the bottles as “eye-catching and practical”.

“The bottle re-design is the next step for Baileys following the successful launch of Baileys Flavours in 2006. The new packaging brings together the Baileys family, whilst clearly differentiating between the different variants,” he said.

Furthermore, Diageo GB is to invest in a £1.2 million campaign in the run-up to the summer, which will include advertising, sampling and on-pack competitions.

Other brands owned by Diageo include Guinness, Red Stripe and Smirnoff.
