Young’s expands seafood range
Seafood specialist Young’s has launched a new product that promises to be a natural source of Omega 3.
Chunky Fish Fillet Nuggets is the latest edition to Young’s Chip Shop range and contain wild Alaskan Pollock from a sustainable source, Talking Retail reports.
Furthermore, the nuggets have been created using a blend of sunflower oil, which, according to the company, makes the product a healthier option.
Marketing communications controller for Young’s Seafood Helen Taylor stated that the product is ideal for families and children.
“Because they are now less than 5 per cent saturated fat and provide a natural source of Omega 3, parents can feel that they can give their children a treat with a clear conscience,” she said.
In March this year, Mike Mitchell, the head of seafood sustainability at parent company Foodvest, scooped the Seafood Champion 2008 award from the Seafood Choices Alliance.
