WKD gets packaging overhaul
Alcoholic beverage WKD is to get new labels and multipack designs over the coming weeks, it has been announced.
Parent company Beverage Brands is to introduce new labels for WKD bottles that include simplified text, Talking Retail reports.
Beverage Brands’ marketing director Karen Salters told the website that the change is part of the “evolution” of the brand.
“It’s very much a case of making a good thing even better; we’re enhancing, not re-inventing. WKD certainly doesn’t need to be overdesigned and fancy to appeal to consumers,” she said.
New four and 12-pack packages will also be created using a striking black background, the firm stated.
Ms Salters added that the brand is keen to ensure its customers remain informed about safe drinking through its packaging, as well as providing a continued shelf impact.
Last week, it emerged that Grolsch and Asda have agreed a deal to sell the Dutch firm’s Premium Weizen wheat beer in the UK.
