Tetley to raise awareness of Extra Strong
A new line of adverts are to be aired by Tetley during May to support its Extra Strong category.
The tea giant is hoping to increase the annual sales of the brand by £500,000 after the advertising campaign, Talking Retail reports.
According to the company, sales have already reached £2.5 million a year – a 54 per cent increase on the last 12 months.
Simon Attfield, customer marketing controller for Tetley GB, noted that the previous advertising campaign had been very successful.
“A blend like Extra Strong, that delivers a refreshing, strong cuppa has proved really popular and the advertising last year had a major impact uplifting normal weekly sales by 25 per cent,” he said.
Mr Attfield added that consumers are responding positively to the stronger tea flavour.
Twinings recently announced that it has reblended its health tea category so that all its products now only contain natural ingredients.
