Ryvita launches ‘healthy’ crisps
A new product will launch Ryvita, known for its emphasis on health, into the crisp category.
Ryvita Limbos are a baked crisp snack suited to “health conscious consumers”, Ryvita’s marketing director Nigel Nelms told Talking Retail.
“Bang on trend, they’re baked not fried, contain 82 per cent wholegrain and are made with 100 per cent British wheat. We are looking forward to making a significant impact within the crisp aisle,” he said.
Mr Nelms added that the product contain 90 per cent less fat than regular crisps and only 70 calories per bag.
Furthermore, he explained that the Ryvita Limbos do not compromise on taste despite having a reduced fat content.
Launching this month, the product will be entering a market that is growing at 14 per cent year-on-year, the firm stated.
Ryvita Limbos are available in salt and vinegar, cheese and onion, and smoky bacon flavours.
