Rare blend coffee launched by Nespresso

June 9th, 2008

A new blend of 100 per cent Arabica coffee has been launched by Nespresso, which will sit alongside its line of premium coffees.

The blend, sourced from Papua New Guinea, will be sold for a limited time only, the company said.

It is descended from Jamaican Blue Mountains cultivars and is picked between April and October.

Market director of the firm Brema Drohan noted that the development is part of the company’s commitment to deliver two rare limited edition coffee blends each year

“Goroka will perfectly enhance our permanent selection, complementing our exclusive premium quality blends, and providing our club members with the ultimate coffee tasting experience,” she stated.

In other news today, coffee giant Kenco announced that it is to extend its ties with the Rainforest Alliance.

Parent company Kraft Foods pledged to source 75 per cent of the freeze-dried Kenco coffee range from Rainforest Alliance certified farms.
