New wine to arrive in UK
French wine brand Enchante is set to launch in the UK following collaboration between Constellation Europe and wine producer Baron Phillippe de Rothschild.
Enchante Merlot/Cabernet Sauvignon 2005, Enchante Bordeaux Rose 2007 and Enchante Sauvignon Blanc/Semillon 2007 are the three products that will be introduced to the UK market, Talking Retail reports.
The wines are likely to retail at around £7.
Master of wine at Constellation Philip Goodband explained how the wine has been produced, saying: “We are not making New World wine, we are making Bordeaux and we are using the knowledge and the skills from the New World and the revolutionary ideas being put in place in Bordeaux and bringing them together.”
He said that result is a Bordeaux wine that has “reinvented itself”.
In other wine news this week, Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference champagne received a gold medal at the annual International Wine Challenge, the Telegraph reported.
