Heinz introduces cooking sauces

Four new cooking sauces are to be launched this month by Heinz, who claim the products will appeal to families looking for convenience.

Spread & Bake will be suggested for use on chicken, red meat and fish and will be available in four flavours: Mediterranean, Moroccan, Tikka and Stick BBQ, Talking Retail reports.

Marketing director of Heinz Sauces Adrian Mooney said that mums may want to use the products as way of creating variety in meals.

“The difference with our new, Heinz Spread & Bake range is that it covers the chicken breast or meat when in the oven, keeping it amazingly succulent, whilst complementing its natural flavours,” he said.

He added that the innovations will “breathe new life” into the sector.

Earlier this week, there were calls from Coeliac UK for more gluten-free options to be created by food producers.
