‘Young snackers’ targeted by chicken bites

Younger consumers are being targeted by a new range of chicken bites from food firm Mattessons.

Known for producing sliced meats, turkey rashes and sausages, Mattessons will launch the innovations under the Fridge Raiders brand.

Aimed at 16 to 34 year olds, the chicken bite snacks will be available in Sweet Chilli and Southern Fried flavours.

Marketing controller for Mattessons David Warren said that the Fridge Raiders brand had attracted a lot of customers to the meat snacks sector.

“Our mouthwatering new flavours and eye-catching new packaging should attract both new and existing consumers to the fixture,” he remarked.

The chicken snacks will be launched later this month.

Recently, Glendale Foods announced that it is to introduce two new halal sausage products.

Launching as part of the brand’s Supreme range, the products will be available in chicken and beef flavours.
