Vodka launched under Ministry of Sound brand

May 16th, 2008

The Ministry of Sound, often associated with clubs and CD compilations boasting the hottest soundtracks, has launched a new vodka product.

Supermarket giant Sainsbury’s has signed a deal with the brand to sell the product, which will also be the house vodka at the brand’s infamous clubs, Talking Retail reports.

According to Nicola Heyes from Ministry of Sound, there are several benefits associated with the product.

“We are confident in the high volume potential of the new vodka, not only because of the unique taste, but because of Ministry of Sound’s global brand appeal,” she said.

She added that the company was keen to differentiate its offering, believing that consumers are bored of “connotations of Eastern Europe and gimmicky flavours” that other products offer.

The Ministry of Sound operates clubs in London, Singapore and the Red Sea area as well as on the ultimate party island, Ibiza.
