Prices displayed on V energy drinks

May 2nd, 2008

Drinks giant Danone Waters has announced that it is to change the packaging of its energy drink, V.

Available from tomorrow, the new design will mean cans of the beverage now clearly display the price – 99p, Talking Retail reports.

V brand manager Joao Maria stated that the drink has a number of loyal fans.

“V has high repeat rates with its current consumers due to its unique taste,” he said.

Furthermore, he added the new price markings will target the brand’s core audience.

It “will also help us to keep the momentum up following on from our six-month marketing campaign which has just recently finished, which included radio, TV and press,” Mr Maria remarked.

V is the number one energy drink in Australia and contains sucrose, vitamin B, taurine and caffeine.

The company claims that there is slightly less caffeine in a 250ml cup of V than there is in an instant brewed coffee of the same size.
