Ocean Spray promotes ‘health benefits’

Cranberry juice maker Ocean Spray is keen to promote the health benefits of its beverages.

The company is to invest in four weeks of advertising to utilise the health message linked to cranberries, Talking Retail reports.

More than £400,000 is to be spent on the marketing drive, which will include adverts in publications such as Stella, You magazine and the Observer magazine.

The aim of the press push is to suggest that a simple way to achieve “health protection”.

Ocean Spray business development manager for UK drinks Jonathan Duffin stated that overall the company has spent £4 million in this area.

“The press activity is an essential part of our communication strategy this year, ensuring we maximise the investment behind our unique health message,” he said.

Ocean Spray recently launched a new beverage in the US, named Cranergy.

The product contains vitamins, green tea extract and cranberries and claims to give drinkers a natural boost.
