New Apple Juice from Hancocks
Hancocks is aiming to attract the attention of retailers by providing them with a high profit margin to its apple juice.
Its move follows the success of the 500ml Crystal Orange Juice drink, which saw growth of 20.4 per cent last year thanks to the innovative mark up.
Crystal Apple Juice will cost £5.29 for a case of 12 units with a recommended retail price of 69p.
To celebrate the launch Hancocks will be offered in a two-day extra discount on May 18th and 19th, dropping the price to £4.29 for this period only.
“The juice category grew by 9.6 per cent last year and so with a hot summer predicted and demand for healthy options growing, sales are likely to be promising,” purchasing director Richard Brittle said.
He added that the company thought it had established a reputation for offering some highly profitable soft drinks and is working with suppliers to develop this further.
Its Italian chocolate brand La Suissa is tone of these products and will be on a three-for-two offer until May 2nd.
