Ginsters enters ready meal market

The ready meal category will soon have a new competitor, pastry maker Ginsters.

Real Meals is a new range from the company that aims to provide consumers with convenient meals, Talking Retail reports.

Launched today, three varieties are to be sold initially: Beef & Peppered Dumplings, Pasta Bolognese and Chicken Tikka & Rice.

Andy Valentine, Ginsters’ head of brand marketing, stated that the meals would appeal to a wide range of people.

“Mums at home looking for a quick and easy mealtime alternative,” may be attracted to the products, as will busy office workers, he stated.

The meals will be microwaveable and will take just four minutes to prepare.

According to the news source, the brand will focus on the local sourcing element of the products when promoting the meals.

Ginsters also makes sandwiches, hot pies, pastas, wraps, pasties and slices.
