Amoy ventures into frozen ready meals category
Oriental food specialist Amoy is to bring out a new line of frozen food ready meals.
The meals will consist of a stir fry and rice combination, Talking Retail reports.
According to the company more Britons are eating stir fries as the popularity of Chinese food is increasing.
Rebecca Davis, the senior brand manager at Amoy, commented that the company has spotted the “massive opportunity” for the development after discovering that 70 per cent of shoppers who purchase Amoy Dark Soy also buy frozen ready meals.
“Our new range provides consumers with the great tastes and textures that they expect when preparing a stir fry or rice dish combined with the authentic oriental taste associated with Amoy and the convenience of frozen,” she remarked.
Ms Davis added that the company has expertise in producing tasty oriental products.
Amoy produces dipping sauces, pastes, coconut milk, noodles and tinned vegetables.
