A limited edition pizza product is capitalising on the nation’s enjoyment of garlic, as 75 per cent of the population are said to describe the ingredient as important to cooking.
Such findings come from Pizza Hut, which is launching a Garlic Crust Pizza product.
The company also discovered that 88 per cent of people no longer mind their partner having garlic breath having enjoyed the flavour on a food product.
Hugh Wood, chief marketing officer of Pizza Hut, remarked that the company has responded to this new love affair.
“Embracing the nation’s favourite ingredient, we introduced the new Garlic Crust pizza to add to the enjoyment of dining,” he said.
Peter Josling from the Garlic Information Centre added that Brits are eating more garlic than ever before.
Pizza Hut recently came under fire from a Consensus Action on Salt Health survey which discovered some meals at the restaurant contained to much salt for small children.
